Have you ever wondered how much you are worth?
I wonder if I am placed on auction, how much will I fetch?
Values. How do we evaluate values? What attributes to the factors of values?
I once stumbled across an essay on a man's acquisition of a real estate, by merely exchanging possessions, and he started from a paper clip. So does this mean that the value of the paper clip equates to the value of a real estate?
How different is a $2 key chain from a $220 Prada key chain? Firstly, they both serve the same function and holds the same number of keys. What elevate the value of a Prada key chain? The quality? Or maybe the name, Prada, that has more value than the key chain itself?
So we understand that value is represented in monetary state, however, if I would to offer you $1 Million for your family heirloom and will destroy it after I purchase it. Will you sell it to me?
If you answer is, no, then we cannot conclude that money represents value.
Sentimental value. There is not a gauge how much there is, but if you are not willing to part with your possession, I would confidently say, you have great sentimental value.
Where am I heading with this entry? I just want to express that everything has its value in this world, be it material or spiritually. I value love but am I able to measure it or even exchange for greater things in life? I doubt anyone would like to purchase it because value is subjective to a person, product and a feeling.
So anyone is willing to part with their house for my beautiful paper clip?
